POLICE INTELLIGENCE.
MONDAY.
There were several cases on the list, but as the majority were for drunkenness, they were nothing out of the common way.
The only ones that were of interest, were a prisoner belonging to the Stockade, caught tripping by the omnipotent FOX, whom the offender through, good man as he was, at Church, on his way to a public house with a rum bottle concealed on his person,—and a female who was surprised, in an interesting deshabille in a staid elderly gentleman’s bed chamber, where, from appearances, on the table, there had been a bread and butter and kisses supper, the chuffiness of which had been moistened by a bottle of rum. The lady stated herself to be from the country, and had visited Parramatta, respecting her Ticket, and was allowed one——to the Factory, entitling her to the rights and privileges, if any, belonging to the 3rd Class.
