SYDNEY GENERAL QUARTER SESSIONS

ADJOURNED SITTING.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7TH, 1842

The adjourned Court of Quarter Sessions commenced its sittings in the new Court-house, Woolloomooloo, yesterday, before W. M. MANNING, Esq., Chairman, Colonel SHADFORTH, and Captain HOLLINGSWORTH.

The Court-house is yet in a somewhat unfinished state, and is not very well adapted for hearing.

The Jury, having been sworn, the following cases were disposed of.

JANE CLIFFE was indicted on a charge of stealing. Guilty — Sentenced to three month sin the Factory, every fourth week in solitary confinement.
