Evidence Type: Newspaper Report
11 October 1826
Four individuals, two of whom were females, had to stand the brunt of an accusation on Saturday, for high crimes and misdemeanors. It should seem that some inquisition of police thought fit to pay a visit to WELLS, the publican’s house in King-street, during his absence from home—on entry, the accused were comfortably seated together. The female part of them were each ordered for two months to the Factory; the men to the Barracks.
