SYDNEY QUARTER SESSIONS

The Court of Quarter Sessions was opened on Monday, the 2nd Instant, at Darlinghurst; but the business did not commence till Tuesday, in consequence of the Court House being occupied for the election of a Councillor for Cook Ward.

The following prisoners were tried:—

MARY HENNESSY, who pleaded guilty to stealing a gown, was sentenced to twelve months’ labor in the Factory.
