POLICE INTELLIGENCE.
MONDAY
MARY McCANN, (bond) a female in the service of Mrs. BRENNAN, was charged with on the previous day, having exhibited decided symptoms of absence of mind and person.
Having obtained leave from her mistress for a few hours ramble, she fell into such sweet company that her Missusses tea went to pot; being however, met by one of the apprehending force, who had some slight knowledge of her station in society, she bounced herself an Immigrant from York, and therefore too far North for his acquaintance. Subsequent enquiry detailing the real state of affairs, she was prevented the injury morals sustain by night air, by being confined in the watch-house, and the Court opinionating that the trading under false colors [sic] was a decided proof that the young lady was slightly given to fibbing in a true pugilistic spirit planted a Stomacher in two months to the third class.
