AN AFFECTIONATE WIFE.
On Monday last, MR. FLINTOFT noticed the wife of one of his tenants, named ELIZABETH STEWART, who was taking off her husband’s property and selling it. She was drunk at the time, having evidently been carousing with the proceeds of the sale. FLINTOFT reprimanded her, when she commenced abusing him, and not satisfied with that, was proceeding to violence, when a constable, who was passing, prevented such violence, by bearing her off to the watch-house. She was, on Tuesday last, sentenced to be imprisoned in the 3rd Class Female Factory for two months.
