QUARTER SESSIONS.
THURSDAY, 4TH JANUARY—The Court opened at the usual hour, Mr. CHEEKE appearing as Crown Prosecutor; such arrangement having been made in consequence of Mr. MANNING’s interview with His Excellency on the previous evening.
MARY M’LAREN, (freed) stealing a silver spoon from Mr. TEBBUTT, publican of Western Road. This case being very simple, and the evidence conclusive, the Jury at once found her guilty, and she was sentenced to five weeks 3rd Class Factory.
