Evidence Type: Newspaper Report
4 November 1843
JANE MARSHALL, per Henry Wellesley, attached to the factory, on oath, states—I was a patient in the hospital from January to June, 1843, and part of that time I was on spoon diet, and was allowed gruel; there never was sugar in it until some short time before I was discharged, when it was first put in the gruel; HANNAN came into the ward, and stated that he had been speaking to Dr. HILL, and had obtained it for us.
