COUNTRY NEWS

WINDSOR, Dec. 18.—The Court of Requests, which was opened on the 14th, terminated the following day about five o’clock. There were 301 cases altogether, including those which were continued from September last.

On Thursday, the 16th, the Court of Quarter Sessions was opened, and fifteen cases were disposed of as follows:—

MARY EGAN was sentenced to hard labour in the factory for two months for stealing a piece of pork.
