COUNTRY NEWS

WINDSOR, Dec. 18.—The Court of Requests, which was opened on the 14th, terminated the following day about five o’clock. There were 301 cases altogether, including those which were continued from September last.

On Thursday, the 16th, the Court of Quarter Sessions was opened, and fifteen cases were disposed of as follows:—

MARGARET HAWKEY, who returned her thanks to the Jury for finding her guilty of stealing three pounds of pork from a person of the name of MILLER, was sent to the factory, there to be kept to hard labour for two calendar months.
