QUARTER SESSIONS
The Intermediate Court of Quarter Sessions was opened on Monday last, and has been occupied during the week in disposing of cases, about fifty, which had accumulated since the last sittings. The cases, with one or two exceptions, were of trifling interest. We subjoin an abstract of them:—
TUESDAY, AUGUST 17
CAROLINE DAVIS and JOSEPH BLACKBURN were convicted of having certain property in their possession belonging to RALPH HOWE, of the Parramatta-road; and the former was sentenced to be imprisoned six months in the female factory, and the latter to be transported for ten years to a penal settlement.
