AN INCORRIGIBLE.—A woman of wretched looking appearance was charged before the Police on Saturday last with stealing a lace cap, which the apprehending constable found on her, together with a boy’s new cloth cap, evidently stolen from some shop. The Chief Constable pronounced her “a reputed thief,” and the Court sentenced her under the Vagrant Act to six months in the house of correction.
