SYDNEY QUARTER SESSIONS

TUESDAY.—Before the Chairman, and JOHN CAMPBELL, Esq. J. P.

ANN NUGENT was indicted for stealing at Sydney, on the 21st April last, one jug, the property of JOSEPH LE BURN. The prisoner went into Mr LE BURN’s public house, in Parramatta street, and calling for something to drink, contrived to secrete one of his jugs upon her person. The article was immediately missed and taken from her. The prisoner was found guilty and sentenced to be imprisoned in the factory for seven weeks.
