On Thursday night, Inspector JONES took into custody, and was taking to the watch-house, a woman named BRIDGET MARSH, assigned to JOSEPH MARSH, her husband, for being drunk and conducting herself in a disorderly manner, when the woman’s husband came up and assaulted him, and resisted him in the execution of his duty. They were both taken into custody, however, and next morning brought to the Police-office, when the man was sentenced to pay a fine of twenty shillings, for assaulting the constabulary, and the woman was sent a for [sic] month to the third class of the Factory.
