14 February 1834
MARY ANN JARVIS, a peripetitic, fond of the Domain and a bottle of good stuff, was charged with taking a holiday without liberty and being found in a secluded nook in the Domain with a good jorum of Jamaica not much diluted. She attempted to stop the Charley with the balance of her bottle, but he was a water drinker, and shaking his head exclaimed, “wont do, wont do,” and marched her away. The only defence MARY ANN had now was, that she only walked into the Domain with her bottle to cure a perisaltic [sic] notion with which she was trouble.—One month GORDON’S infallible remedy.
