Unidentified Woman

Evidence Type: Newspaper Report
25 September 1829

It is said that an unfortunate frail one, on a charge of being detected one night lately in an improper situation in George-street, has been dispatched by command of a certain J.P. to the third class in the Factory at Parramatta for three months, there to be shorn of her locks, and afterwards treated with 28 days’ rumination in a solitary cell. The latter punishment would have been quite enough.
