Bridget Savage

Evidence Type: Newspaper Report
12 May 1829

BRIDGET, or BIDDY SAVAGE, a female, assigned to the service of Mr. D. A. C. G. HOWARD, was charged with gadding on Sunday evening, and it appeared the frail one stepping out in the night, came back half dizzy with a gallant gay Lothario, whom she strenuously sought to introduce into the complainant’s house, but failed. All these things proved BRIDGET to be addicted to evil doings, and to put a stop to her goings on, goings out, she was ordered to do penance for her frailty by a six months’ dwelling in the factory.
