Another of the same gender and disposition was informed against as being an incorrigible drunkard. She stated herself to be a mantua-maker, and could earn an honest shilling with any one. Mantua making she considered dry work in warm weather. A trip up the Country, the Magistrates thought, would be of some benefit to the lady’s morals. At all events there could be no harm in a trial. One month to the third class in the Factory.
