7 September 1827

A woman named ANNE CAMPBELL, who had made her appearance on the boards of the Police-office, time out of mind, was apprehended by a constable, and brought in for being “a bolter” from the Factory. The frail damsel twice eloped from the constable who had her in his charge, on the way to the Factory, whither she was going for twelve months. Ordered to be returned, and to have her flowing ringlets shaved off.
