Report on Female Factory

Evidence Type: Newspaper Report
DETAILS: Parramatta Chronicle, SATURDAY 19 APRIL 1845, p. 2

THE FACTORY AND HOSPITAL PROSECUTIONS.

These long-pending trials against the late storekeeper of the Factory, MR. BELL, and contractor, MR. HAMILTON, and against the latter person and a person named HANNAN, late overseer at the Hospital, have again been postponed, until the 9th of June. The reason of their not coming on at the present sittings of the Criminal Court as originally appointed, is stated to be, that as they are expected to occupy several days, the arrangements made for the disposal of the present calendar, would be seriously infringed upon.
