TRANSCRIBER’S NOTES: There is no exact match for this name in the convict lists for the Speke. Although this individual continued to be sentenced for other offences in the colony under this name, a convict application to marry was rejected for HANNAH CHAPPELL on the same grounds that there was no such person aboard Speke. Further research required to determine her identity. This convict and two others admitted to the gaol on the same day are connected with a brace, potentially indicating they committed a crime together and were sentenced together, but that is not a given.
