TRANSCRIBER’S NOTES: The name CATHERINE DAWNING appears to be incorrect in the original record. There was no one with that surname on board the Lord Wellington. DAWNING may have been an alias/married name, but could also have been a misspelling by the original scribe. A CATHERINE DUGGAN per Lord Wellington (1820) had been sentenced to one week in the cells at Sydney Gaol on 13 November; perhaps she was forwarded to the Factory after that time in the cells was complete. Further research required.
