TRANSCRIBER’S NOTES: JANE HALL was an expiree in 1828, having been transported per Alexander II (1816) quite a few years earlier in 1816. However, at the time of the 1828 Census, JANE was under a ‘Colonial’ sentence of two years’ confinement in the third class of the Parramatta Female Factory, having been found guilty in April 1827 at the Windsor Quarter Sessions of being an accomplice to pig stealing. There was only one JANE recorded on the indents of the Alexander II (1816), namely JANE REED/READ/REID. Further research required.
