TRANSCRIBER’S NOTES: Col.l is presumably an abbreviation of ‘Colonial’, as in, a Colonial offence rather than the one for which she was originally transported to New South Wales. In 1828, BRUCE was already an expiree. However, she committed a secondary offence in the Colony, namely bigamy, and was sentenced to a further seven years transportation in May 1826.
