TRANSCRIBER’S NOTES: There was only one ANN SMITH/ANN SMYTH on board the Almorah (3) (1824) and she was already mustered at the Female Factory in the 1828 Census [see entry #331]. This ANN SMITH #358 is therefore either a duplicate entry for the same convict or another convict named convict from the same ship used ANN SMITH as an alias or acquired the surname ‘SMITH’ through marriage in the colony. Further research required.
