The rewards doled out from the Office of Police during the past week or so much of it as passed between the 27th of July and the 1st of August, [it] is said, might be classed in the following order and proportions:—
35 Hours in the stocks between a dozen of both sexes
22 Months and a half to the third class of the Factory between 14 fair ones.
146 days to the Tread-mill between 18 of the masculine genus.
325 Stripes between 8 ditto.
4 Months and 7 days abode in the House of Correction between ditto.
3 Years and 9 months to an Iron Gang between 5 do. and
41 Days to a Solitary Cell on bread and water between 5 ditto of the stouter sex.
