Mary Ann Delahunt (c.1793-)

Irish needlewoman convicted in her native city of Dublin, Ireland, for “felony of money.” Sentenced to seven years transportation per Woodman (1) (1823). Aged 30 on arrival in the colony, Mary Ann Delahunt was a regular resident of the Parramatta Female Factory.

THURSDAY, NOV. 16. — MARY ANN DELAHUNT, assigned servant to Mr. CAPE. It appeared in evidence, that she had been in the habit of remaining out at night and entering by the windows in the morning. Last night she had been out till about half-past ten o’clock, when she appeared before her master with her intellects completely muddled and became insolent, noisy, and riotous. Sentenced to the second Class in the Factory.
