Esther Slater (c.1819–)

Woman who gave birth to a son at the Parramatta Female Factory. Mother of JAMES SLATER.

ESTHER may have been born in the colony or was transported with a convict parent, possibly ELIZABETH SLATER per Providence II (1) (1821). An ESTHER SLATER was committed to the Female Orphan School in 1825 with the note that her father was dead and her mother in service.
