Convict woman incarcerated in the Parramatta Female Factory.
JOHN MURRAY and ELLEN DINAN, free, charged with having feloniously entered the dwelling of JOSEPH HARRIS, at the time he was in bed, on Saturday night last, between 11 and 12, and stolen therefrom certain articles of wearing apparel. There was no proof of any robbery having been committed that night, as it appeared Harris had lost the property the day before, under circumstances that went to weaken his testimony as to the fact charged; but as the two prisoners were proved to have broken into the premises, and had been seen therein, the Bench sentenced JOHN MURRAY to the gaol, as the house of correction, as a rogue and vagabond, for one month, and ELLEN DINAN to the Factory for 6 months.
